Man sentenced to prison for sexually abusing child
LĪHU‘E – Kyron M. Corpuz, 25, of Līhu‘e, was today sentenced to serve ten years in prison for sexually assaulting a child on more than one occasion between 2012 and 2016.

DOW donates ‘hydration stations’ to the island’s public high schools
LIHUE – The Department of Water (DOW) met with Department of Education (DOE) officials, Tuesday at the State of Hawaii Government Office in Lihue, to present the island’s three public high schools with custom-made water hydration stations for their athletic programs.

HANAPEPE – A California man remains in critical condition after he became distressed while snorkeling off Salt Pond Beach in Hanapēpē at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Prison sentence for fatal stabbing

LIHU‘E - Francisco Keola Manuel, 38, of Līhu‘e, was sentenced on Thursday to serve 20 years in prison for fatally stabbing another Līhu‘e man during a late-night confrontation in 2015.
