The County of Kaua‘i Board of Ethics is responsible for the administration of the Code of Ethics (Kaua‘i County Charter, Article XX).
In short, the Board of Ethics initiates, receives, hears and investigates complaints of violations of the Code of Ethics; renders advisory opinions or interpretations with respect to application of the Code upon request; and examines for possible conflicts of interest for all disclosure statements filed.
The Board currently consists of seven volunteer members who are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the County Council.
