Transient Vacation Rental Application

Owners of single-family transient vacation rentals must register their TVRs or apply for a Non-Conforming Use Certificate. Applications for single family TVR’s must be submitted with As Built Plans (Plot Plan, Floor Plan, Section and Elevation) signed and stamped by an architect or engineer licensed in the state of Hawaii, accurately reflecting the property as it is today and showing registration and contact sign location.

Go to press releases section 8/19/2008 - Limited hours at neighborhood centers, county swimming pools - LĪHU‘E – County officials announced that several neighborhood centers and county swimming pools will have limited hours tomorrow through Friday. However, all regular and previously scheduled activities at these facilities will continue. Camping permits and reservations for use of county facilities can be arranged at the Kalāheo and Kapa‘a neighborhood centers as well as the Līhu‘e Civic Center – Pi‘ikoi Building during normal business hours, 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. The Kapa‘a swimming pool will be closed on Thursday and Friday for previously scheduled maintenance work. The Waimea swimming pool will close at noon on Friday instead of its regular 4:30 pm closing time.
 

Go to press releases section 8/19/2008 - Haleko Rd. partially closed Thursday night - LĪHU‘E – Hawaiian Telcom will be performing cable installation in its underground facilities on Haleko Rd., from 8 pm Thursday, Aug. 21, to 5 am the following day. While the work is being done, only one-way traffic from Rice St. to Pua Loke St. will be allowed. Northbound traffic on Haleko Rd. heading towards Rice St. will be detoured to Kaumuali‘i Highway via Hala Rd. near the Department of Water.

LĪHU‘E -- County officials announce the kickoff of a series of public meetings to educate the public on landfill issues. Beginning Wednesday 8-20-08 7pm at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center, Public Works staff will be attending Kaleo O Kaua`i meetings to inform the community about landfill related issues.

Go to press releases section 8/14/2008 - KPD Needs Help With Finding Runaway - Līhu‘e - The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public's help with finding 15 year old Jacob Poepoe who was reported missing on July 7, 2008. He is six feet tall, weighs about 150 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, Hawiian descent, tan complexion, small build. He has a tattoo on his back "POEPOE" across the shoulder. Anyone with information about Poepoe is urged to Call Dispatch, 241-1711, KPD Investigative Service Bureau, 241-1696, or Crime Stoppers, 241-1887.
