2012 Summer Enrichment Program Information Minimize

Curriculum: "Hawaiiana"
The theme for the 2012 Summer Enrichment Program is "Hawaiiana."  We've designed an exciting program where children will be able to travel back to their Hawaiian roots and learn about the history of the beautiful islands that the've grown up in.  Our curriculum encorporates the use of hula, chants, songs, storytelling, as well as "makahiki" games and contests, and numerous arts & crafts.  We'll be sure to keep your child's minds and bodies very busy!

Lunches Provided:
We will provide healthy lunch meals to all children attending the summer program.  These meals will be served everyday except excursions (Wednesdays).  Therefore, p
arents must provide their child with snacks and drinks.

Note: This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.

Excursions:
Excursions are planned every Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.  During the first day of the program, each program site will distribute a more specific schedule outlining the excursion destinations.  Most excursions will be at County Beach Parks and Pools.  Parents must
provide their child with food and drinks (breakfast, lunch, and snacks) as well as towels, extra clothes, and sunscreen.  Parents must also drop their child off by 8:00 AM on excursion days to ensure that the site can leave on time.
