The New KPD Badge - Friday, May 28, 2010
On October 1, 2007, Police Chief Darryl D. Perry was sworn in as the 7th Police Chief for the County of Kaua'i. Shortly thereafter, Assistant Chief Roy Asher proposed that a new police badge be designed to reflect a “new beginning” for the Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD). Become a Police Explorer - Monday, January 11, 2010
The Explorer Program is for career-oriented young adults aged 16 through 20. Members are referred to as "Explorer" and, while the program is part of the Boy Scouts of America, the Explorer program is distinctively different from scouting. Explorer is a co-educational, young-adult program developed and supervised by local community organizations, businesses and individuals providing an opportunity for young adults to explore a particular career field.
