USED COOKING OIL RECYCLING PROGRAM!
The County of Kauaʻi is pleased to announce a brand new Used Cooking Oil recycling program! The State Department of Health has authorized a 1 year pilot program designed to collect residentially generated used cooking oil. The County has contracted Kauaʻi Grease Trap to haul used cooking oil to Kauaʻi Farm Fuels in Hanapepe, where it will be processed and converted into biodiesel.
This program is for residents only!! Please bring your used cooking oil to the Lihue or Hanapepe Transfer Stations, open seven days a week, excluding holidays. Their hours of operation are from 9:15 am to 5:15 pm.
