Male visitor drowns in waters off Hanakāpī‘ai

HANAKĀPĪ‘AI – Kaua‘i police have confirmed that a male visitor apparently drowned Tuesday afternoon in waters off Hanakāpī‘ai Beach on Kaua‘i’s North Shore.

Geotechnical work at Lydgate Park and the Lydgate Park Sport Fields in Wailua set

WAILUA – The public is advised that geotechnical work will be performed at Lydgate Park on Jan. 22 and at Lydgate Park Sport Fields from Jan. 24 to 26 to allow the county Wastewater Management Division to evaluate the subsurface soil conditions at each site.

Wailua crash results in injuries, road closure

WAILUA – Kūhiō Highway in Wailua, south of the south entrance to Leho Drive, was closed in both directions early Saturday morning following a three-car crash that resulted in injuries.

Kūhiō Highway closed following critical car crash

WAILUA – Kūhiō Highway in Wailua, south of the south entrance to Leho Drive, has been closed in both directions due to a critical traffic crash that occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday.

Rescuers save four on Kaua‘i’s North Shore on Thursday

Firefighters and lifeguards rescued four people on three separate rescue calls on Thursday on Kaua‘i’s North Shore.
