Chance Taala, age 18, was arrested in Waimea on a Grand Jury Indictment relating to three counts of third degree sexual assault, Class C felonies, and one count of sex assault in the first degree, a Class A felony.

Participants on the first Road to Recycling tour bus were given a broad overview of the county’s Division of Solid Waste Management and a first-hand look at two recycling facilities – the Kaua'i Resource Center and Garden Isle Disposal - along with the Kekaha Landfill.

While the high surf warning is in effect, beachgoers are urged to stay completely out of the water on the north shore and at west facing beaches.
