WAIMEA – Police arrested a wanted Waimea man on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Chance Taala, age 18, was arrested in Waimea on a Grand Jury Indictment relating to three counts of third degree sexual assault, Class C felonies, and one count of sex assault in the first degree, a Class A felony.

Ocean Safety officials are alerting the public about a high surf warning in effect through tomorrow for all north and west facing shores.
While the high surf warning is in effect, beachgoers are urged to stay completely out of the water on the north shore and at west facing beaches.
