Hanalei transfer station resumes normal operations
HANALEI – County officials announced that repairs were made today to the mixed waste hopper at the Hanalei refuse transfer station. The facility has resumed normal operations.

Police arrest driver involved in hit-and-run crash
LUMAHAI  – A Wainiha man was arrested on Sunday morning after he left the scene of a traffic crash that resulted in injuries. The crash occurred just after midnight on Saturday along Kūhiō Highway in Lumaha‘i.

County announces holiday closures
LĪHU‘E – In observance of Memorial Day, County of Kaua'i offices will be closed on Monday, May 30, along with all refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill, all HI-5 bottle redemption centers, Puhi Metals Recycling Center, and Kaua'i Resource Center. In addition, all of the neighborhood centers will be closed.
