Computer Towers, Monitors, and other Electronics Recycling

Electronic waste, also known as eWaste is accepted for recycling at the Puhi Metals Recycling Center located at 3951 Puhi Rd. Days of operation are: Monday through Saturday from 7:30am - 3:30 pm and closed on all County Holidays: 2024-County-Holiday-Schedule.pdf(PDF, 41KB) . The program is free for residents and businesses, and there are no restrictions on quantity. Call Puhi Metals at 245-6919 or the County Recycling Office at 241-4841 for more information.

Resource Recovery Solutions, the operators of the Puhi Metals Facility utilizes R2 and E-Steward certified end destination recyclers.  Currently, eWaste is sent to URT Solutions in Clackamas, Oregon.

Large Loads

For loads consisting of 10 or more items, it is recommended that a list be made itemizing how much of each type of eWaste is being dropped off. Processing time for large loads may be significant without a prepared list.

***Unusually large electronics may be subject to a fee of $0.50 cents per pound to cover the labor involved in packaging them for cargo containers. Large items include items that cannot fit onto a standard 48" x 40" pallet (excluding televisions), such as commercial copiers and industrial electronics. Please call Puhi Metals at 245-6919 if you have questions about the items you are intending to recycle.

Puhi Metals takes small appliances and power tools made of at least 50% metal for recycling as scrap metal.

Puhi Metal no longer ships out these materials for eWaste processing.
