New eWaste Collection Location at Puhi Metals Recycling - Friday, April 22, 2016

Starting June 1, eWaste will be accepted for recycling 6 days a week, Mon-Sat from 8-4.  See information below.

Computer Towers, Monitors, and other Electronics Recycling

Starting on Wednesday, June 1 eWaste will be accepted for recycling at the Puhi Metals Recycling Center located at 3951 Puhi Rd. eWaste will be accepted Monday through Saturday from 8am - 4 pm.  The program is *free for residents and businesses, and there are no restrictions on quantity.  Call Puhi Metals at 245-6919 or the County Recycling Office at 241-4841 for more information.

For large loads consisting of 10 or more items it is recommended that a list be made counting how many of each type of eWaste is being dropped off and their brands. Processing time for large loads may be significant without a prefilled list.

 *Unusually large electronics may be subject to a fee to cover the labor involved in breaking them down so that they can be put into cargo containers. Please call Puhi Metals if you have questions about the items you are dropping off.

Verizon Wireless has a Recycle, Repurpose and/or Reward program.

Go to vzw.com/tradein and click on "Find out Your Trade-In Value" note that you can recycle devices from Verizon Wireless, or other wireless carriers. You have two recycling options, trade in your device and receive a Verizon Wireless Electronic Gift Card via e-mail if you obtain a new Verizon device. Donate device to Hopeline. Hopeline is a program that provides support to victims and survivors of domestic violence.
