Hanamaulu Beach Park, 3 miles from Lihue. Take highway 56, turn right at Hanamaulu Road across from Hanamaulu Cafe and next to 7-11 store, until you come to a fork in the road. Campsite is on the left side of the bay. This park (6.46 acres) had pavilions, comfort stations, picnic tables, and cold showers. Ocean water is brackish due to the river mouth close by.
