  Message from the Mayor Minimize

Aloha!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those residents in the pilot area for their participation in the county’s pilot curbside recycling program. Over the last year, the collective efforts of those residents have helped tremendously in diverting waste from our landfill!

We are currently in the process of collecting data on our pilot program including: participation rate; types and quantities of recyclables collected; as well as areas that need improvement. As soon as this is completed, we will share the information with you. We are certain that the information gathered will help us with planning for future recycling programs.

Although the pilot curbside recycling program will be ending soon, it is my hope that everyone will continue to recycle as much as they can, and help to conserve our resources and protect our aina for future generations.

For ideas on how to reduce, reuse and recycling, please don’t hesitate to contact our County Recycling Office at 241-4837.

Mahalo nui loa,

Mayor Bernard Carvalho, Jr.
