If your household currently receives County of Kaua‘i curbside refuse pickup, your day of collection may change as of September 5, 2011. This change is due to the Phase II conversion of the County's collection system to automated refuse pickup.

Some weekly pickup days will change because route adjustments for Phase II caused a "ripple effects," requiring balance and reorganization of collection routes throughout the island.

Households converting to automated pickup during Phase II in Wailua Homesteads, Kapaa, Kapahi, Anahola, and parts of Hanamaulu will receive brochures with the delivery of their new County-issued collection cart . Brochures will contain information on the collection and instructions for use.
