The Uniform Information Practices Act (Modified), Chapter 92F, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes ("UIPA"), is Hawaiʻi's Public Records Law. The Office of Information Practices ("OIP") was created by the Hawaiʻi State Legislature in 1988 to administer the UIPA.

To access a public record in the County of Kauaʻi, please complete the "Request to Access a Government Record" form and submit to the proper County of Kauaʻi Agency/Department you are requesting the record from.
*Pursuant to the UIPA, you may be charged fees for the services that the Agency/Department must perform when processing your record request, including fees for making photocopies and other lawful fees. The first $30.00 of fees charged for searching for a record, reviewing, and segregating will not be charged to you. Any amount over $30.00 will be charged to you. Fees are as follows:

**Pursuant to Section 4.2 of the Kauaʻi County Code 1987, as amended, all Agencies/Departments of the County of Kauaʻi shall impose and collect a reproduction fee which is requested by any person for private use. The Office of the County Clerk fee structure is as follows:
