The County has established goals for reducing energy use and resultant carbon emissions that bring significant economic benefit to the public by reducing County expenses, reducing fossil fuel dependence, and establishing the County as a leader in our community.
County Greenhouse Gas Reduction Goals – Energy, Electricity, and Transportation
- 26-28% GHG Emissions reduction from 2005 levels by 2025
- 80% GHG emissions reduction from 2005 levels by 2045
- Reduce ground transportation emissions by 100% by 2045
- Reduce ground transportation emissions from County vehicles to 100% by 2035
- Transition County’s bus fleet to 100% electric by 2035
