In accordance with HRS 107-28, effective November 17, 2022, the County of Kaua‘i Department of Public Works - Building Division will begin enforcing the 2018 International Residential Code as adopted and amended by the Hawai‘i State Building Code Council, and the 2018 International Existing Building Code as adopted and amended by the Hawai‘i State Building Code Council

Administrative sections deleted from the codes by the Hawai‘i State Building Code Council will be applicable as adopted and amended in the Building Code of the County of Kaua‘i, under Chapter 12 of the Kaua‘i County Code 1987, as amended.
