Password Policy

  • Passwords expire every 60 days
  • Password History: remembers the previous 10 passwords
  • Select passwords that are at least 15 characters long

Effective September 01, 2020

Passwords must meet the complexity requirements below:

  • Must be at least 8 characters long, and
  • Contain characters from four of the following four categories:
    • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
    • English lowercase characters (a through z)
    • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
    • Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)

Changing your password from my County PC

My password is about to expire and I need to change it from my County PC.

  1. Logon to your County PC with your current username and password 
  2. Press the CTRL + ALT + Delete buttons

  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password 
  5. Confirm your new password 
  6. Click on the right arrow buttonarrow. 
  7. You will see this message when the change is successful.

Changing your password from Office 365

  1. Sign in to Office.com
  2. Go to Settings gear icon > Change your password
  3. Enter in your old password, then your new password, then enter in your new password again to confirm.  Click Submit.

  4. If your new password was accepted, you will be brought back to the login page to enter your new password. 

Important:  If you access your email through your mobile phone, you must enter your new password on the device or you will not be able to receive email.
