Emergency water service shutdown for customers located on Anini Road

KILAUEA – The Department of Water (DOW) has issued an emergency water service shutdown for customers located on 'Anini Road in Kilauea, as of approximately 5 p.m. this evening, due to a recent main line break in the 'Anini water system.  Water service will be unavailable for approximately 6 to 7 hours as DOW crews conduct extensive emergency repairs to the main line in order to restore services.

Fatal crash closes Kaumuali‘i Highway on Wednesday

KALĀHEO – A portion of Kaumuali‘i Highway in Kalāheo was closed in both directions for several hours Wednesday, following a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a 63-year-old Lāwa‘i man.
