As of December 15, 2020, the resident voluntary post-travel testing facility is only open to first responders or critical infrastructure workers, due to Kauai’s moratorium on pre-travel testing quarantine exemptions.

Please note that post-travel tests are NOT eligible for quarantine exemptions. There is no path to receiving a quarantine exemption once you are on-island.

All incoming travelers to Kauai are currently subject to a 10-day mandatory quarantine. The quarantine includes visitors AND residents flying from the mainland and interisland. Pursuant to Governor Ige’s 17th Emergency Proclamation, the travel quarantine was reduced to 10 days, effective December 17th. Eligibility:

County employees and first responders with proof of approval from their supervisor (agencies which are allowed to participate in this testing have received the form and understand the rules regarding when their employees qualify for testing).

Critical infrastructure workers who have received a CISA exemption from the State of Hawaii (https://ag.hawaii.gov/travelexemption/).

Critical infrastructure workers who have received a modified quarantine approval or quarantine exemption approval from the County of Kauai
