County campgrounds to close for maintenance starting April 28

LĪHU‘E – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) is announcing that County campgrounds will be closed for maintenance starting April 28.

The dates, times, and locations are as follows:

• ‘Anini Beach Park Campground – closed from 10 a.m. Sunday, April 28, and reopens at noon on Saturday, May 4;
• Lydgate Campground – closed from 10 a.m. Sunday, May 5, and reopens at noon on Saturday, May 11;
• Salt Pond Beach Park Campground – closed from 10 a.m. Sunday, May 12, and reopens at noon on Saturday, May 18; and
• Anahola Beach Park Campground – closed from 10 a.m Sunday, May 19, and reopens at noon on Saturday, May 25.

Campgrounds must be cleared and vacant before 10 a.m. on the Sundays listed above.  Permitted campers may set up in the campground after 12 p.m. on the Saturdays listed above.

The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks customers for their patience and cooperation during this scheduled maintenance.
