Lobbyist Registration

Ordinance No. 999(PDF, 399KB), Relating to the Registration of Lobbyists was adopted by the Council of the County of Kauaʻi on second and final reading on March 23, 2016 and approved by the Mayor on March 30, 2016.

Chapter 3, Article 6, Section 3-6.3 of the Kauaʻi County Code 1987, as amended, requires each lobbyist to complete and file with the Office of the County Clerk, as early as possible, but no later than five (5) days after engaging in lobbying, a Registration Statement.

Chapter 3, Article 6, Section 3-6.5 of the Kauaʻi County Code 1987, as amended, requires all lobbyists to file with the Office of the County Clerk on or before January 31st of each year, a Contributions & Expenditures Statement which shall cover the period from January 1st through December 31st of the previous year.

To terminate your County Lobbyist Registration, please send a letter addressed to the Office of the County Clerk stating the effective termination of your Lobbyist Registration along with a Lobbyist Contributions & Expenditures Statement for the period of the current year through the effective date of termination. These documents can be mailed to our Office or E-mailed to cokcouncil@kauai.gov.
