Arborist Advisory Committee

ARBORIST ADVISORY COMMITEE MEETINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED BY TELECONFERENCE DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS. THE PUBLIC WILL BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO THE MEETING AUDIO AND OFFER PUBLIC COMMENT BY CALLING THE PHONE NUMBER AND ENTERING THE CONFERENCE CODE ID LISTED ON THE MEETING AGENDAS.  EXECTUIVE SESSIONS ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

Advises the County Council in determining "exceptional trees" to be reserved for posterity by reason of historical or cultural value, aesthetic quality, endemic status, age, rarity, location, or size.

The Arborist Advisory Committee consists of 2 at-large members appointed by the Mayor to a term coterminous with the Mayor. 

3 ex-officio members include 1 State Forestry Division, 1 National Botanical Garden, and the Deputy Planning Director.
