Kaua‘i Bus launches mobile ticketing app powered by Masabi
The Kaua‘i Bus has launched a new digital fare payment system powered by Masabi, enabling riders to purchase tickets and manage Stored Value Accounts (SVA) through a mobile app or online portal. This update allows for convenient access to single-ride tickets, day passes, and more. The system includes onboard ticket validators, improving boarding efficiency. The partnership with Masabi marks the first step in modernizing the bus network, with future plans for Account-Based Ticketing and Open Payments, aiming to provide fare capping, flexible payment options, and a more accessible transit experience. The new app is available for immediate use.
