RIDER NOTICE | REGULAR FARES RESUME OCTOBER 1
As our community continues its recovery from Hurricane Lowell, The Kaua‘i Bus would like to remind riders that the temporary fare-free service will end on September 30, 2026.
Beginning Thursday, October 1, 2026, regular bus fares will once again be collected on all Kaua‘i Bus routes.
Passengers are encouraged to have the appropriate fare or a valid bus pass ready when boarding.
We extend our sincere mahalo to our riders for their patience and cooperation throughout the hurricane response and recovery period. The Kaua‘i Bus was proud to provide fare-free transportation during this time to help our residents access work, essential services, recovery resources, and other community needs.

Reduced Fare Application
In order for us to evaluate your application for a The Kaua‘i Bus Reduced Fare ID Card, you must have your Licensed Practicing Physician certify that you are eligible for this program. Only Physicians are able to certify the medical section of this application.

The Kaua'i Bus operates a Public (Fixed Route) bus service and a Paratransit (Door-to-Door) bus service from Hanalei to Kekaha daily.
Fixed Route Service: (bus stop to bus stop)
5:15 a.m. - 9:45 p.m.
(Monday through Saturday, including most Holidays)
Each bus has a destination sign on the front and curb side of the bus, displaying the route number.
*Although Drivers follow a predetermined schedule, arrival at bus stops may be affected by traffic, operating conditions and route deviations.
