Road closures for annual Pride Parade

LĪHUʻE – The annual Pride Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Jun. 1, at 9:00 a.m.

To accommodate the event, the Kaua‘i Police Department will close off all streets along the parade route from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Road closures will include:

• Hoolako Street (from Vidinha Stadium to Rice Street)
• Rice Street (from Hoolako Street to Eiwa Street)
• Umi Street (from Rice Street to Hardy Street)                                                                                      

Motorists should also allow additional time to get to their destinations as traffic delays are expected. Officers will be monitoring all road closures.

During the road closure Route 70, Lihue Shuttle will not operate on Rice Street. Kaua‘i Bus riders can utilize the shelter location on Eiwa Street.
