Portions of Waimea Athletic Field to close April 29 to June 1

WAIMEA – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) is announcing that the Waimea Athletic Field playground, skateboard half-pipe, ADA parking stalls, and ADA walkway near Kaumuali‘i Highway will be closed from April 29 to June 1, weather permitting,

The closures are necessary to construct the inclusive playground and ADA renovations.

The general contractor for the project is Pacific Blue Construction. InspiredPlay, LLC will install the playground.

The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks the public for their patience and understanding.
