LĪHU‘E – The Department of Motor Vehicles’ (DMV) ID production equipment has been repaired, and ID services have resumed as of approximately 12:45 p.m., Aug. 23. All DMV services are now fully operational. Officials thank the public for their patience.

ID services unavailable at DMV on Friday, Aug. 23

LĪHU‘E – Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) officials report that ID services will not be available at the DMV on Friday, Aug. 23, due to a hardware issue with the department’s ID production equipment.

Officials will not be able to process ID services including driver’s licenses, permits, state IDs, and CDL licenses until repairs have been completed.

All appointment holders for Friday have been contacted that their appointments have been cancelled and will need to be rescheduled once repairs are complete.

An update will be provided as new information becomes available, or by Friday afternoon.
