5:15 p.m. Update: Southbound lane on Kūhiō Highway reopened Sept. 13

5:15 p.m. UPDATE: All lanes are now reopened.

LĪHUʻE: The Department of Water (DOW) announces, effective immediately, there is a one southbound lane closure on a portion of Kūhiō Highway between Hardy Street and Poinciana Street. Emergency water service repair work is set to begin at approximately 10 a.m.

Emergency water service shutdown is expected to last until approximately 12 p.m. Road repair work is expected to last until approximately 3 p.m.

Traffic Advisory

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to slow down and allow extra travel time through the work zone area.
