Public invited to meetings on Kaua‘i County’s draft Area Plan on Aging

LĪHU‘E – The County of Kaua‘i’s Agency on Elderly Affairs (AEA) will hold three public meetings next week to present the county’s draft Area Plan on Aging 2023-2027, which lays out the future of services for Kaua‘i’s older adults over the next four years.
The public meetings will be held as follows:
- Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the Hanapēpē Neighborhood Center;
- Thursday, Sept. 21, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the Kapa‘a Neighborhood Center; and
- Thursday, Sept. 21, from 5:30 – 7 p.m., at the Kaua‘i Memorial Convention Hall Craft Room in Līhu‘e.
The public is invited to provide comment and feedback on the draft area plan during the meetings. AEA will also share the overarching goals of the State Executive Office on Aging, along with AEA’s top priorities and strategies to address the needs of our Kaua‘i community.
The Agency on Elderly Affairs plans, implements, supports, and advocates for the well-being of older adults, and serves as a one-stop-source of information on long-term care support options and services for all residents.
