Road closure scheduled for Olohena Road on May 20

KAPA‘A - The Department of Public Works and Earthworks Pacific is announcing that a portion of Olohena Road will be closed on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The road closure is necessary to pour a concrete retaining wall.

Motorists will need to use alternate routes during the mentioned timeframe. The detour routes are as follows:

• Eastbound traffic on Olohena Road will be routed onto Waipouli Road from Kamalu Road via Olohena Road.
• Westbound traffic will be routed onto Waipouli Road via Hauiki Road, and onto Kamalu Road via Olohena Road.
