Spring Fun program scheduled for March 16 to 21

LĪHU‘E – The Department of Parks and Recreation announces this year’s Spring Fun programs, including Sports Camp, Pop Up and Play, and Spring Poolooza, scheduled for March 16 through March 21.

Sports Camp and Pop Up and Play

Sports Camp will be held at the Kalāheo Neighborhood Center, and Pop Up and Play will take place at the Līhuʻe Neighborhood Center. Both programs will run from March 16 through March 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The programs are offered at no cost, but registration is required. Online registration begins Monday, March 2, at 8 a.m., and will remain open until all spots are filled. Space is limited to 40 children per site. Participation is open to students in grades Kindergarten through grade 5.

Participants will enjoy a variety of engaging activities, including games, crafts, outdoor activities, sports skills development, team-building exercises, skills competitions, and more.

All participants must bring a water bottle, lunch, and athletic shoes.

Spring Poolooza

Spring Poolooza will take place from March 17 to 21 at the Kapaʻa Swimming Pool and the Waimea Swimming Pool, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day.

All Poolooza activities are offered at no cost, and no registration is required.

Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to enjoy a variety of water activities, including Follow the Leader, Tic-Tac-Toe, Mother Duck, Marco Polo, treasure hunt, Red Light Green Light, Biggest Splash, life-size Jan-Ken-Po, watermelon ball colors, and other pool games. A parent or guardian must accompany all children participating in the activities.
