Summer Enrichment Programs will be held at the following sites:

Kilauea, Kapaa, Lihue, Kalaheo, Hanapepe & Kekaha Neighborhood Centers

King Kaumualii, Koloa and Wilcox Elementary Schools

Program Information - Summer Golf classes

Summer Golf Class Information:

Fee:   $35 per session

Ages: 7-15 years old (must be 7 at time of registration)
Location:  Wailua Golf Course

SESSION I:      June 8 - June 19, 2015  (6/11/15 Kamehameha Day, Holiday)  

SESSION II:      June 22 - July 2, 2015       (7/3/15 Independence Day, Holiday)               

SESSION III:     July 6 - July 17, 2015

Time: 8:00 AM- 12 noon

Junior Leader Program


  CLICK HERE to download an application form for Summer Enrichment 2013's Junior Leader positions.

All children 12 through 16 years old qualify to take part in our Junior Leader program. Each applicant is required to submit a one-page essay on describing their reasons on why they want to be a Junior Leader.  There are three positions available per program site. This program provides youth with an opportunity for personal development, community service, and career sampling.
You may email your completed application to, or fax, mail or hand-deliver it (please refer to above addresses for the appropriate information).  As this application requires the signature of a parent or legal guardian, please be sure to print and sign it before sending it to the Parks and Recreation Office.

Junior Leader

  • Ages 12-16
  • Provides youth an opportunity to experience working with participants of the Summer Enrichment Program.
  • Can be used as volunteer hours for future academic purposes
  • Must submit an essay on “Why I would like to be a Junior Leader”

Our staffing per program site consists of two Program Site Managers and summer aides. The Neighborhood Center locations are also staffed by a permanent Recreation Manager.  Our program is generally based on a ratio of 1 staff to every 15 participants. Please refer to your specific SEP location using the taskbar on the left for more specific staffing information.
