Summer Fun Golf Program

*Session I –   June 12 - June 22, 2018

*Session II –  June 25 - July 6, 2018

*Session III – July 9 - July 20, 2018

*(No lessons on Wednesday, June 20th, and Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4th)

OPEN TO BOYS & GIRLS AGES 7-15                                           (Age 7 at time of registration)

REGISTRATION FEE: $35.00 Per Child/Per Session

REGISTRATION DATE: Monday, MAY 14, 2018

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Wailua Golf Pro Shop

Registration shall be received 1 week prior to each session

LEAD INSTRUCTOR: Darrel Rego (Wailua Golf Course Pro Shop)

HOURS OF INSTRUCTION: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon; Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 5 p.m.

END OF INSTRUCTION PICK-UP TIME:      

12:00 NOON MONDAY – THURSDAY  5:00 P.M. FRIDAY

(Children must be picked up no later than 12:30 p.m, Monday – Thursday: and 5:30 p.m. Friday)

ATTIRE: Casual wear with tennis/basketball/jogging type shoes. (NO SOCCER, BASEBALL OR SPIKED GOLF SHOES!!!)

EQUIPMENT: Minimum of a Putter, 5, 7, 9 Irons, Wedge, Driver and a golf bag.

NOTE: We recommend that you provide your child with sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses (optional); and a snack & beverage, as there are no snacks available at the Wailua Golf Course.

IMPORTANT:  

 Only Parent(s) or Legal Guardian(s) of the child must sign the waiver form. If you are not that person, but are signing the form for them, you must attach a Power-of-Attorney or notarized document stating you are legally authorized to sign on behalf of the Parent(s) or Legal Guardian(s).

You will be required to show your driver’s license or an identification card to verify your I.D. and signature.

Employment

Staffing
Our staffing per program site consists of two Program Site Managers and summer aides. The Neighborhood Center locations are also staffed by a permanent Recreation Manager.  Our program is generally based on a ratio of 1 staff to every 15 participants. Please refer to your specific SEP location using the taskbar on the left for more specific staffing information.

Junior Leader Program

All children 12 through 16 years old qualify to take part in our Junior Leader program. Each applicant is required to submit an application including a one-page essay on describing their reasons on why they want to be a Junior Leader.  There are three positions available per program site. This program provides youth with an opportunity for personal development, community service, and career sampling.

JUNIOR LEADER PROGRAM
  • Ages 12-16
  • Provides youth an opportunity to experience working with participants of the Summer Enrichment & Winter Program.
  • Can be used as volunteer hours for future academic purposes
  • Must submit an essay on “Why I would like to be a Junior Leader”
  • Deadline to apply: June 1 2018
