Please note the following explanation as it relates to Kaua‘i Kākou - Kaua‘i County General Plan (Planning Commission Draft (June 2017)) and General Plan Appendices 
*On June 13, 2017 the Planning Commission approved transmittal of the General Plan Update (ZA-2017-3), as amended, to the Kaua‘i County Council.  The transmitted document is called the “Planning Commission Draft” (dated, June 2017 as reflected on page 3) of the General Plan Update and includes amendments approved by the Planning Commission.  The draft also contains edits related to formatting, design, numbering, copy editing, and graphics as authorized by the Planning Commission. 

Please note that the “Planning Commission Draft” (dated June, 2017) should not be confused with the following working drafts of the “Departmental Draft”  of the General Plan Update:

• Departmental Draft, May 23, 2017  (utilized by the Planning Department and Planning Commission)
• Departmental Draft, June 13, 2017 (utilized by the Planning Department and Planning Commission) 

The above drafts were a work in progress and sought to integrate proposed policy and map amendments as they were approved by the Planning Commission.  However, the working drafts did not incorporate the amendments approved by the Planning Commission on June 13, 2017 and did not incorporate the full set of edits related to formatting, design, numbering, copy editing, and graphics as authorized by the Planning Commission.
