11 AM UPDATE: Kūhiō Highway near the Hanalei Bridge

Kauai Emergency Management Agency News Release

The Flash Flood Warning for Kaua‘i has been expired by the National Weather Service. However, due to elevated water levels, Kūhiō Highway near the Hanalei Bridge remains closed until further notice.

Should the need arise, an emergency shelter at Hale Halawai in Hanalei is on standby.

Please stay tuned to local media for updates on road closures.

Ponding, low visibility, and other hazardous driving conditions may remain. If you must drive, please do so with extreme caution.
