KAPA'A - One-lane southbound road closure has reopened. DOW crews have completed water line repair work, and water service has been restored to the affected area.

Kūhiō Highway one-lane road closure for emergency water line repair on Oct. 11

KAPA‘A – The Department of Water (DOW) announces that, effective immediately, a one‑lane southbound road closure is in effect on a portion of Kūhiō Highway, between Uhelekawawa Canal Bridge and Hoi Road, in the vicinity of Safeway and Ross Dress for Less, until approximately 1 a.m., October 12 for an emergency water line repair, followed by road repair work. Traffic will be shifted to the center lane to maintain two-way traffic.

Traffic Advisory

Motorists are advised to slow down in the work zone area and exercise caution around crews working alongside the roadway.
