Published on February 09, 2026
LĪHU‘E – The Agency on Elderly Affairs invites the community to participate in honoring older adults who have made meaningful and lasting contributions to the island of Kaua‘i.
Eligible nominees must be 65 years of age or older by December 31, 2025, and demonstrate a strong commitment to service, leadership, and dedication to helping others. Selected nominees will be recognized at the Older Americans Recognition Ceremony, of which details will be announced in a later news release.
Of the nominees, one male and one female will be selected to represent Kaua‘i at a statewide recognition ceremony to be held on O‘ahu in June.
This annual recognition provides an opportunity to express appreciation for the invaluable contributions of Kaua‘i’s older adults and to celebrate the positive and lasting impact they continue to have on our island.
Organizations are encouraged to submit a completed nomination application along with a supporting letter. Applications are available at the Agency on Elderly Affairs office or online at the Agency on Elderly Affairs website. Completed applications must be mailed, postmarked no later than February 28, or delivered in person to the Agency on Elderly Affairs office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 27.
