Coaches Meeting for Mayor’s Youth Track Meet Scheduled Feb. 13

LĪHU‘E –Department of Parks and Recreation officials will be holding a coaches meeting for the annual Mayor’s Youth Track Meet at the Līhu'e Neighborhood Center on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. 

All kindergarten through fifth-grade coaches planning to enter their young athletes in this year’s Track Meet are invited to attend. Public, private, and home school students are eligible to participate, and respective school coaches are encouraged to attend this meeting. Event dates and format, rules and regulations, and applications will be covered at the meeting. The Mayor’s Youth Track Meet will be held on April 5 at Hanapēpē Stadium and on April 12 at the Bryan J. Baptiste Athletic Complex.

Due to scheduled construction, the event will not be held at the Vidinha Stadium. Updates for that project will be announced in a future news release.

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade who want to participate in the Mayor’s Youth Track Meet should contact their respective school coaches.
