County announces holiday closures for Kamehameha Day

LĪHU‘E – In observance of Kamehameha Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Monday, June 12. Officials also announce the following holiday closures.

Closures on Sunday, June 11:

• All refuse transfer stations; and
• The Kekaha Landfill;

Closures on Monday, June 12:

• All County of Kaua‘i offices;
• All neighborhood centers; and
• The Kaua‘i Resource Center (composting bins, batteries, florescent lights, reuse).

Additionally, the Waimea swimming pool will observe Kamehameha Day on Tuesday, June 13, and will be closed that day.

HI5 redemption centers will be open on their regular schedules.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. 

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, June 13.
