KŌLOA – Kaua‘i Fire Department firefighters extinguished a structure fire in Kōloa on Monday, August 18.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire on Kōloa Road in Kōloa on Monday shortly after 6:40 p.m.
Personnel with the Kalāheo and Kōloa fire stations and the on-duty Battalion Chief responded to the incident.
According to a preliminary report, upon arrival shortly after 6:45 p.m., firefighters discovered thick smoke coming from a shed. Bystanders quickly extinguished the fire with fire extinguishers. Firefighters remained on scene to fully extinguish the fire.
Firefighters cleared the scene shortly after 7:15 p.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
