Housing Agency announces no-cost fair housing training

LĪHU‘E – The County of Kaua‘i Housing Agency announces a no-cost training opportunity for landlords and tenants to learn about current federal and state Fair Housing laws. This training is part of initiatives by county, state, and federal agencies for National Fair Housing Month.

This year’s training will be held virtually via Cisco Webex meetings on Thursday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The theme for this year’s training is “Fair Housing in Hawai‘i.” This training will feature experts from the Hawai‘i Civil Rights Commission (HCRC) and Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i (LASH). These organizations will present and answer questions regarding various topics, including state law, fair housing 101, cultural practices, case studies, and more during the meetings.
