The Kaua‘i Fire Department has extinguished a brush fire in Hanamāʻulu near Hanamāʻulu Beach Park and Kapule Highway.

There are no threats to nearby structures and no reports of injuries. 

The fire was reported on Saturday, July 4, shortly after 2:05 p.m.

Response:

Stationed on Kapule Highway, KFD crews extinguished the fire shortly after 2:50 p.m. 

Assets 

Personnel with the Līhu‘e Fire Station, Rescue 3, Tanker 3, the on-duty Battalion Chief, and the Kaua‘i Police Department responded to this incident.

Road closures

The Kaua‘i Police Department has reopened Kapule Highway.
