Kēʻē and Hāʻena lifeguard towers closed due to roadway flooding

HĀʻENA – Ocean Safety Bureau officials advise that the lifeguard towers at Kēʻē and Hāʻena are closed Thursday afternoon due to flooding at Manoa Stream on Kūhiō Highway.

Lifeguard services are not available at these locations until further notice.

Officials will reassess conditions and reopen the towers once it is safe to do so.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
