K-PAL to Host Mayor’s Youth Track Meet for Grades 6 - 8

LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Activities League (K-PAL), in collaboration with Island School and Iwi Kua, is excited to announce the Mayor’s Youth Track Meet event for students in grades 6 - 8. This marks K-PAL’s first year hosting the middle school meet, providing an opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talents and compete in a fun and supportive environment.

Coaches Meeting

In preparation for the event, K-PAL will be holding a Coaches Meeting on Monday, Mar. 3, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Kaua‘i Police Department, located at 3990 Ka‘ana St., Suite 200, Līhu‘e, HI 96766. All coaches are required to attend to receive important event details and updates. Coaches who are unable to attend are requested to contact the organizers in advance.

Event Details
The track meet for grades 6 - 8 will be held on Friday, Apr. 18, 2025, at Island School in Līhu‘e. The meet will start at 9:00 AM and feature both track and field events on a grass track. Events will include the 60-meter run, various relays, hurdle relay, 400-meter run, long jump, high jump, and shot put. The meet will be divided by grade level and gender, with an Open Mixed Division offered for relay events, requiring teams to consist of two boys and two girls with no grade restrictions.
