KPD Arrests Suspect Tied to String of ‘Ele‘ele Burglaries

‘Ele‘ele – A 54-year-old man was arrested in connection with multiple burglaries in the ‘Ele‘ele area.
Lincoln Kaehu, a 54-year-old resident of Puhi, was taken into custody on Thursday, Apr. 24, 2025, for his involvement in the burglary of Ace Hardware in ‘Ele‘ele, which occurred on Apr. 15, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m. In addition, Kaehu was also wanted on multiple outstanding arrest warrants related to other criminal investigations.
Kaehu was arrested for the offenses of Theft in the Second Degree, Burglary in the Second Degree, Habitual Property Crime, Criminal Property Damage in the Second Degree, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information, Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle in the First Degree, and Unauthorized Entry into Motor Vehicle in the First Degree.
He is currently being held at the Kaua‘i Community Correctional Center with bail set at $370,000.
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities believe Kaehu may be connected to other burglaries and are urging the public to come forward with any information they may have. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact Detective Richard Brown at (808) 241-1684.
