LĪHUʻE – The Kauaʽi Police Department is renewing its appeal to the public for any information that may assist in solving the 2010 murder of Amber Jackson. Authorities continue to investigate all available leads and remain committed to bringing resolution to this case.

On July 3, 2010, the body of 57-year-old Amber Jackson, a resident of Kapa‘a, was discovered in a remote forested area of Keālia by a local pig hunter. Jackson had been reported missing on June 23, 2010. An autopsy later revealed that she died from blunt-force trauma to the head and had sustained injuries indicative of a violent assault. Despite continued investigative efforts, no arrests have been made.

In the years since her death, Jackson’s family and friends established the Amber Jackson Justice Group (AJJG) to keep her story alive and advocate for justice. A reward of $20,000 is being offered by the AJJG for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

The Kaua‘i Police Department, alongside the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, continues to dedicate resources to solving this cold case. “Our objective remains clear: to identify and prosecute the person or persons responsible for Amber’s death,” said Assistant Chief Darren Rose. “We believe someone out there knows something. Even a small piece of information could help us move this case forward.”

Anyone who may have knowledge about the circumstances surrounding Amber Jackson’s disappearance or death is urged to contact KPD at (808) 241-1711. Those who wish to remain anonymous can reach out to Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at (808) 246-8300, submit a tip at crimestopperskauai.org, or use the P3 Tips Mobile App, available for Apple and Android devices.
