Nov. 17 UPDATE: Lane and road closures scheduled for Akemama Road Nov. 24 to Dec. 5

Due to inclement weather, single lane closures and full road closures along a portion of Akemama Road have been rescheduled, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 24 to Dec. 5.  All work is weather permitting.

A full road closure will be necessary for crews to complete work on Monday, Nov. 24. Lane closures will occur from Nov. 25 to Nov. 26 and from Dec. 1 to Dec. 5. There will be no work on Nov. 27 and Nov. 28.

LĀWA‘I  –  The Department of Public Works is announcing single lane closures and full road closures along a portion of Akemama Road, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 17 to Nov. 21.  All work is weather permitting.

The lane closures are necessary for the public’s safety and to allow the Department of Public Works, Roads Division, crews to complete culvert and road repairs within the county right-of-way.

Lane closures will occur on Monday, November 17, and Wednesday, November 19, through Friday, November 21. A full road closure will be necessary for crews to complete work on Tuesday, November 18.

Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary traffic modifications, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.  Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
