Lane closures scheduled along County roads in Wailua and Kapaʻa

The County of Kauaʻi Department of Public Works and its contractor Kennedy Jenks are announcing scheduled wastewater manhole and sewer line inspections along County roads in the Wailua and Kapaʻa area, daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 9, weather permitting.
One-lane closures are anticipated on Kukui and Ulu streets; Akia, Akoa, Panihi, Makaha, Keaka, Ala, Wana, and Papaloa roads; Aleka Loop; Aleka Place; and Leho Drive. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times in the work zones.
Temporary traffic control signs and cones will be in place, and flaggers will be positioned in the work zones to direct traffic. No parking will be allowed in the work zones.
Please make the appropriate arrangements, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. Motorists are asked to exercise caution when traveling through the work zones and follow posted signs, cones, and directions from flaggers.
