HANALEI AND ʻANINI – The water conservation request for Department of Water (DOW) customers in the Hanalei community and ʻAnini Beach areas, which was issued on April 4, 2025, remains in place until further notice. DOW officials continue gathering the necessary contractor services, equipment and components for emergency repairs.
Customers are asked to continue water conservation efforts in order to maintain water services and avoid a full water service outage. Water conservation measures include turning off appliances and fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems and refraining from car washing.
Weekly notices will continue to be provided via the Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS), the County’s emergency notification system. To sign up, visit www.kauai.gov/KEMA and click “Notification Services.”
To Monitor water service updates online, please visit www.kauaiwater.org. For more information, please contact the Department of Water at 808-245-5455.
An update will be provided when the conservation request has been lifted. DOW thanks customers for their continued conservation efforts and cooperation.
