LĪHUʻE – A missing toddler in Līhu‘e was found safe Friday evening following a swift response from first responders.
On Friday, Apr. 18, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., personnel with the Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) and the Kaua‘i Fire Department (KFD) responded to a report of a missing toddler near Nāwiliwili Road in Līhu‘e.
KFD’s Rescue 3 aboard Air 1 and KPD’s drone team were immediately deployed to assist in the search. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of first responders and support from community partners, the child was located safely nearby with no reported injuries.
KPD extends its appreciation to Kaua‘i Search and Rescue, the Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement, and the public for their vigilance and assistance during the search.
