Moanakai Road in Kapa‘a closed May 28 to May 30

Due to additional work, Moanakai Road, from Keaka Road to Makaha Road, has been extended to 6 p.m. today, May 29. Regular hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., will resume tomorrow, May 30.

KAPA‘A – The Department of Public Works is announcing that Moanakai Road will be closed from Keaka Road to Makaha Road from May 28 to May 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

The following closure is necessary for crews to conduct roadside maintenance work.

During working hours, vehicle, Pedestrian, and Bicycle traffic will be detoured via Kealoha Road.

Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary lane closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.  Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
