Ocean Safety Bureau officials advise no swimming or water recreational activities at north-facing shores of Kaua‘i due to brown water runoff.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the island.

Officials have observed brown water runoff on north-facing shores.

In addition, the gate to Queen’s Bath is closed due to hazardous ocean conditions.

Because of the closure of Kūhiō Highway near Hanalei Bridge, all lifeguard towers except for Hanalei Bay are closed.

The advisory may be extended or modified as conditions develop. For updated information on ocean and weather alerts, visit the NWS website, www.weather.gov/hfo.
