LĪHU‘E - Prosecuting Attorney Rebecca Like and Life’s Choices Director Diane DeHart announced that applications are now being accepted for the Adult and Adolescent Mental Health & Substance Abuse Community Program Grants for fiscal year 2026-2027. A total of $1 million in grant funding will be awarded.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) is now available on the Life’s Choices website at:  https://www.kauai.gov/Government/Departments-Agencies/Prosecuting-Attorney/Lifes-Choices-Kauai

All proposals must be submitted by email to opagrants@kauai.gov and received no later than 4:00 PM on February 17, 2026.

Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status are invited to apply. Preference will be given to organizations that have not previously received an award and whose proposals focus on youth.

Prosecutor Like said, “Building on last year’s grant opportunity, this funding supports prosocial and prevention programs that give Kauai’s youth positive, healthy ways to grow and stay engaged. These investments help reduce future involvement in the justice system and strengthen our island community.”

Individuals requiring auxiliary aid or other accommodation due to a disability may contact Diane DeHart at (808) 241-4925 or ddehart@kauai.gov no later than January 30, 2026.
