Pe‘e Road closure starting May 19, temporary signals to be installed
Published on May 15, 2026
PO‘IPŪ — The Department of Public Works, in coordination with Goodfellow Bros. LLC, would like to inform residents, businesses, and visitors of the closure of Pe‘e Road at Po‘ipū Road, and installation of temporary signals at the intersection of Po‘ipū Road and Ala Kinoiki.
The closure will be in effect from May 19, 2026, through May 29, 2026, to construct the center of the roundabout at the Po‘ipū Road, Ala Kinoiki, and Pe‘e Road intersection.
During this time, there will be a detour in place that will use Ho‘owili Road and Ho‘ōne Road and to access Pe‘e Road and nearby streets, houses, and resorts.
The temporary traffic signals will control traffic on Ala Kinoiki and both directions of Po‘ipū Road approaching the intersection, as only one lane will be available for travel through the intersection.
Construction crews will make every effort to complete the work as efficiently as possible while minimizing impacts to the surrounding community.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation as the roundabout is completed at the Po‘ipū Road, Ala Kinoiki and Pe‘e Road intersection.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Goodfellow Bros. office at 808-281-5604.
